This is the 15th Annual exhibition hosted by the Whangarei District Council; joining together with the Quarry Art Centre by bringing this year's show to the 'Yvonne Rust Gallery'. Helping to showcase the re build of our new community wood fired kiln 'K-3' or more recently renamed 'Sweaty Betty'.

The continuity of WDC's support with this event is widely recognised by our Northland artist's, community/town and importantly our tourists; helping to raise the profile of New Zealand handmade pottery and introducing our Quarry Art Centre by way of its 'Yvonne Rust Gallery'.

About this Venue

Rebuilt in August 2011 the Yvonne Rust Gallery offers a purpose build exhibition space displaying a wide range of art forms. The Gallery is at the heart of the Quarry Arts Center - a community facility offering a supportive, unique and dynamic space dedicated to the pursuit and development of creative practice.

This gallery is unique in that is it an application run gallery - meaning that artist apply to exhibit there work, this ensures that exhibitions are changing every 2 to 3 weeks and displaying all forms of art by both emerging and established artist to display their work directly to the public.
