KNZBW Otangarei Clean Up and Planting

About this image

Whangarei Fritter Festival

Sorry, this event has been and gone.

To celebrate Keep New Zealand Beautiful Week and all those who serve our community we are organising a clean up and commemorative planting on the 15th of September.

F.O.R.C.E. is working in partnership with Whitebait Connection, Whangarei District Council, People Potential and other groups to make this a great community event. We are going to be doing a clean up for an hour then we will be planting 650 trees and plants on the Puna Rere Drive corner of Denby Reserve better know to locals as Fishbone Park.

We are cleaning up from 9am then between 10 and 10:30am we will start the planting. If you have one you will need to bring your own spade for the planting and gloves are recommended both for the cleanup and planting. We will have some of both available for those who don't have them.

We need your help! We had 50 people at our last clean up but we need more to get these plants planted and the area cleaned up! And maybe even help eat the Sausages and other goodies!

Let's get together and make an awesome day of it!
